His first three litters have consistently given me stylish pups with strongly people-oriented personalities, a fun-loving devil-may-care attitude, and absolutely endearing underlying sweetness in addition to impressive intelligence. Physically they have tended to show their sire's short-coupled strength of topline, eye-catching breed type, massive bone, plush coats, gorgeous feet. He does carry the recessive for long coats. He is DM negative. Shogen's hips certified "OFA good" but although functionally sound one elbow didn't certify so he will not be offered at public stud. |

I guess that contributes to her special status, since she is *that* girl to me! My go-to hiking buddy, she strikes me as being an embodiment of the original ideal German Shepherd dogs that inspired the creation of the breed... naturally responsive, clear headed, able to lie quietly and peacefully when I'm at repose, but ready in an instant to engage and take action. She has an athlete's endurance and a herder's instincts. |

DOB 4/24/2016 Zitta provided an opportunity to bring in another litter from V Vulcan Noster Amicus, AD, BH, IGP 1, Kkl 1 'a' and I couldn't pass it up after looking at Zitta's pedigree. She combines several of my favorite influential German studs, including V Landos vom Quartier Latin, SchH 2 and VA Nando Gollerweher, SchH 3, IPO 3, FH 2, Kkl 1 'a'. Her litter proved out the hunch, and indeed the depth of quality in her pups is impressive (one show potential male still available). Zitta herself is such a joy, with an effervescent personality that is a winning combination of sweet and gentle, alert and protective, playful and biddable. I couldn't be more pleased with her, and her future contributions to the breeding program. |
